Room 3 also presents the work that took place in the mines, paying particular attention to the roles of women and children, who contributed tenaciously to the sustenance of the family with enormous efforts that were badly paid. There is also:
- a designated area for the screening of a complete and exhaustive documentary on the history of the Amiata mines, intertwined with the historical events of the 1900s;
- a gallery, known as the "descenderia", which is a very faithful reconstruction, of a mine section dug into the underground rock into which the visitor can really "descend";
- a showcase displaying the main objects and tools used by the Amiata miners.
