Oratory of the Company of Saint Sebastian

Just outside the city walls lies the Oratory of the Company of Saint Sebastian, a building dating back to the mid-16th century, which was completely transformed during its 1964 restorations. On the great early seventeenth century trachyte altar, there is a painting by Domenico Manetti depicting the Madonna and Child in glory with the saints Nicholas of Tolentino and Augustine, which is datable to around 1650. On the right wall of the presbytery, there is a life-size polychrome wooden sculpture of Saint Sebastian from the 15th century, an interesting example of Sienese art with influences from northern Italy.
