Located on Via dell'Arcipretura in the historic centre of Castel del Piano, Amiatino Theatre was built in the 19th century on the site of an ancient church dating back to the 13th century, the seat of the Corpus Domini company from 1571. Originally rectangular in plan, with a pedestal and false ceiling decorated with floral motifs, the theatre was renovated in 1960, with the elimination of the ceiling decorations, the demolition of the stage, the renovation of the roof space, and the construction of a new gallery.
