Inner (or spiritual) science is made up of arts, medicine, language, literature and logical systems. Designed by Professor Namkhai Norbu, the logo of the Museum of Oriental Art and Culture unifies these fields in a close relationship of correlation and interdependence. The five main sciences of traditional Buddhist studies are collected within a mandala, transcribed with Tibetan names and characters which are read in a circular direction, starting from the centre, then going upwards, and continuing in a clockwise direction.
